Each item is subjected to proper heat treatment and, upon request, different types of coverage are used.
A - Corps
Made from heat treated and ground steel, it has ball bearings inside that can withstand the stresses of machining.
B - Shaft firmware carrier
Mounted inside the housing and rotates on ball bearings inside the housing. On the outer part, which protrudes from the case, there is a screw for fixing the firmware and a threaded hole for attaching the drawbar.
C - Firmware socket
It is a groove inside the shaft that carries the firmware, into which the firmware is inserted. This groove is subjected to special processing and grinding with tolerance
for maximum precision in work.
D - Mounting on the machine
On the opposite side of the shaft there is a shank, integral with the body, for mounting on the machine. The piercing head is produced with different type
shanks, which allows their use on a wide range of machines:
> cylinder shank C
> shank taper Morse CM
> ISO shank - DIN 69871 / DIN 2080
> VDI shank
> HSK shank
E - Drawbar
It is a steel rod supplied in the kit, which is screwed into a special hole located on the shaft that carries the firmware.
The rod is recommended for use with certain types of firmware; this ensures perfect centering during piercing work. In addition, the use of a rod is necessary when the workpiece must have the exact orientation of the finished figure obtained by stitching.
In the case of working on a lathe, the rod is inserted into the fork located on the lathe shaft itself, in the case of using a milling machine or drill, the rod is fixedly attached to the desktop pin.
